A local model from modelmayhem came over last week, it was her first photoshoot with someone else as far as I can gather. I think in some of the pictures she has a shocking innocence to her that I didn’t pick up in person. She is a fun person to work with, and I look forward to working with her again.
I worked with AgentJ again over the christmas holidays. This time around we added a local dress designer for extra excitement: Dilly Daisy. Working with more people certain did add to the complexity of it all, but overall I think the results are great. The 2 dresses she made are spectacular looking on AgentJ.
Lighting wise I tried to mimic more fashion-esque type lighting. It was close, but I think I can do better.
Anyways, I look forward to working with both ladies again.
Tam and her boyfriend Colin came back last Monday to do some more photos. This time they brought some clothing a local girl, Your Little Monster, makes and everything was made by her which I find amazing.
I’m hoping at the end of the month to get some bright and colourful panels that would maybe match the style of clothing more. Then maybe you will see more of Tam and Your Little Monster’s clothing.
Just when I thought she was out of ideas she pulls out this crazy hat. Back in grade school I would have teased or pushed her in a snow drift for wearing it. And I wouldn’t be the only one that would do it either. Elementary playgrounds back in the day was serious business.
But now it looks cool, but still crazy.
Billy Witch Doctor Dot Com says “That crazy hat for a chicken.” If you are an Aqua Teen Hunger Force fan you get that.
I’ve read that one of the main differences between east coast and west coast photographers is the use of space. East coast photographers tend to have very tight cropped pictures focusing on the details of the person. Whereas the west coast people tend to include much more space around the person. Anyways, I tried to include the space around Lauren in these pictures.
Literally she was standing on a tree that bridged the nasty creek below. Meanwhile I was getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. Later on she fell out of another tree… yikes.
I very tall girl named Shawna was here on Monday. Took some great pictures of her. She came with a hockey bag full of goodies and clothing so that was awesome of her. Literally, it looked like she was moving in.
This is just the first series from the shoot. I think it has kind of a fashion-esque look to them and very dramatic.
I think I’m in love with my hallway. All the leading lines, the crappy lighting. I wish they hadn’t re-carpeted in the hallway. Makes it look less spooky and more like a cheap motel.
Anyways, Lauren looks wonderful in my hallway. I could see her on a fashion page in something like Clear Magazine
Additionally, these pictures I like because she looks lonely all by herself in the long crappy hallway. I like my lonely pictures.
In an attempt to create some more unique high fashion photos Lauren and came to produce this. Admittedly, a bus stop isn’t particularly high end, but Windsor isn’t quite on the fashion map either. However, most people who buy clothing aren’t travelling by jets and limos we are catching trains, buses, and cars. So the juxtaposition of the high fashion and everyday fashion works I think.
The fashion side of the shoot with Lauren and her bag. I thought it would be a nice change show a slightly desaturated version of the pictures.
Jenni drove down from Flint, MI all the way to Windsor to do some pictures with little old me. These shots were mostly warming up getting to know each other shots. Later on we did some crazy wild pictures, so stay tuned for that over the next couple days.
After nine hours of pictures, I wanted to make sure she got her monies worth as driving expensive nowadays, my body was literally broken. Either that or I am old, or just not used to doing pictures for that long.
I got the chance to work with Lauren and Dilly Daisy again. It was nice, I hadn’t worked with Dee-Dee since last Christmas, and I haven’t seen Lauren in awhile. It’s good too because Lauren is moving to Sweden for the next semester.
The clothing was all featured at the recent charity fashion show.
I also made some fake advertisements for the clothing.
They both wanted something a little more sexually charged. So this is what they got.
I’ve been accused of having photos that belong in magazines. I of course disagree, I’ve never seen any photos like what I take in any magazines. However, a few of these images I could almost see in an advert for cologne or jeans.
