This was one of the first times I “urban exploring” with an ex. We drove around and found places like this. At one point this house was probably a kick-ass house. The sad thing is, there very all may have been someone squatting in it. There were other building on the other-side of the street that looked worse and there was a family living there.

This was long before the Super Bowl XL came to Detroit. Despite long speeches and news articles (propaganda), saying how they were going to make Detroit presentable, I somehow doubt this was torn down. They only concerned themselves with the downtown area, building fake store fronts, boarding up abandoned buildings, and sweeping the homeless under the rug.

I guess you gotta start somewhere.
